What an absolutely beautiful day celebrating Mr. & Mrs. Lopez! 🤍

Marissa and Alex’s wedding at Country N Lace in Toledo, Washington was one of those days that reminds you why photographing love stories in the Pacific Northwest is pure magic. The day was filled with laughter, family, and the sweetest kind of chaos — courtesy of their five-year-old son Josiah and baby girl Skylar, who completely stole the show every chance they got.

Rain, Romance, and Real Emotion

The weather may have been stormy and gray, but somehow that only made the day more magical. There’s something about the sound of rain on a barn roof that makes everything feel cozy and romantic. Between the glow of twinkle lights and the soft sound of the wind outside, Country N Lace became the perfect backdrop for a heartfelt, down-to-earth celebration.

And you know what they say about rain on your wedding day — it’s good luck. 🌧️✨

The Perfect Family Celebration

From the very first look, Marissa and Alex radiated joy. Their connection was easy, natural, and full of laughter. Watching Alex’s face light up the moment he saw Marissa in her lace gown was unforgettable. The ceremony that followed was warm and intimate, surrounded by friends and family who clearly adore them.

Marissa’s great aunt, who owns Country N Lace, played a huge role in making the day special — not just as the venue owner but as the wedding coordinator. Every detail was thoughtfully done, from the floral arrangements to the timing of the ceremony, and she kept everything running beautifully throughout the day.

A Warm, Rustic Setting

If you’ve never been to Country N Lace, it’s one of Southwest Washington’s hidden gems. Nestled in Toledo, WA, it’s surrounded by rolling hills, open fields, and the kind of rustic charm that’s hard to find anywhere else. Between the black barn exterior, the romantic wood interior, and the soft light pouring in through the windows, it’s a dream for photographers and couples alike.

Even though the weather kept us indoors for most of the day, the venue provided endless beautiful backdrops — from the glowing chandeliers above the ceremony space to the warm wood textures that made every photo feel timeless.

Little Moments That Made It Unforgettable

Throughout the evening, there were so many small, joyful moments that brought the day to life. The bridesmaids looked stunning in autumn tones of rust and copper, perfectly complementing Marissa’s intricate lace gown. The groomsmen kept things lighthearted, cowboy hats and all, and little Josiah looked sharp in his teal vest — but the real highlight?

When the dance floor opened, Josiah absolutely stole the show. By the end of the night, everyone was circled around cheering him on as he danced his heart out. Watching him have the time of his life was the perfect reminder of what this day was truly about — family, love, and joy.

Capturing Love in Southwest Washington

This wedding was a reminder of why I love photographing celebrations across Lewis, Thurston, and Cowlitz counties, and even down through Vancouver to Lacey. Whether it’s a rustic barn in the country, a forest elopement, or a classic indoor ceremony like this one, every couple brings their own story — and my job is to capture it honestly and beautifully.

If you’re planning your wedding in Southwest Washington and looking for a venue with charm, heart, and a touch of country elegance, Country N Lace in Toledo, WA is truly something special.

Congratulations again to Marissa and Alex Lopez — and to their little ones, Josiah and Skylar, who made this day even more memorable. Thank you for letting me capture your story.
