TIME FOR A PHOTO DUMP energy, but make it blog-worthy. I headed home to the Tri-Cities this weekend for some much-needed family and friend time and got to photograph my most bestest best friend’s son, Jax. I cannot believe it’s already senior photo season for him. It feels like just yesterday his mom and I were newly graduated ourselves, cruising my 1992 Cabriolet through Tri-Cities summer nights… and now our babies are almost adults. Wild.
WSU Tri-Cities Vibes: Urban nooks + nature pockets
We shot at the WSU Tri-Cities campus, my first time there! It’s got that fun mix of textured walls, glass, and little pockets of green. Jax is getting into photography himself and brought some awesome ideas to the session, which I love, collabs always make the gallery feel extra “you.”
There’s nothing like Eastern Washington summer light
That warm, soft glow you get on summer evenings in Eastern WA? Chef’s kiss. I can never quite recreate it in exactly the same way west side of the state where I live now, which is one big reason I love going home to make photos for my people.
Booking 2026 seniors in Lewis County, WA
If you’re in Lewis County, WA (Winlock, Centralia, Chehalis, Napavine, Toledo, Onalaska, Adna, Vader—hi neighbors!) it’s time to get your 2026 senior photos on the calendar. Most schools set yearbook deadlines in early to mid-fall, so snag a date while the weather and light are showing off.
How we can shoot:
My property in Winlock (Olequa Creek, pasture, forest trails—moody, earthy, timeless)
Around Lewis County (historic downtowns, trails, fields, rivers)
Within ~1 hour of Winlock (Olympia/Tumwater, Longview/Kelso, Castle Rock, etc.)
Tri-Cities visits are also possible when I’m home, just ask!
What to expect: Genuine moments > stiff posing, warm highlights, matte blacks, rich earthy tones—a moody, vintage-inspired look that still feels like you.
